HOW DO I REGISTER?

You can register by either downloading and mailing in the registration forms or registering online. We suggest registering early to take advantage of the early bird rate, as well as to ensure your spot. Once we reach maximum capacity, we will no longer accept registrations. Register Now for an upcoming event!

CAN I REGISTER WITHOUT A STUDIO?

Dancers may either register with their studio or as an independent dancer.

MUST I REGISTER IN ADVANCE OR CAN I REGISTER AT THE DOOR?

Attendees may either register in advance or at the door if space permits. We always suggest pre-registering. Once we reach maximum capacity, we will no longer accept registrations.

DO YOU OFFER DAILY RATES?

Yes, we offer a one day option. Dancers must be registered for the full workshop to audition for scholarships and perform in the Performance Showcase.

HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO ATTEND?

To register for Artists Simply Human, dancers must be four to six years old for the Mini Movers level, seven to ten years old for the Artists in Training level and ages eleven and up for the Intermediate and Advanced levels.

IN WHAT CLASSES CAN TEACHERS PARTICIPATE?

Teachers are free to take any class offered in addition to a special teacher’s class.

WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?

If registering online, you may use Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express. If you are mailing in your registration forms, checks or money orders are accepted. If a check is returned, you will be assessed a $30.00 fee. At events only cash and credit cards are accepted. *All funds must be paid in U.S. currency only. No International, Canadian or Foreign checks will be accepted.

DO YOU OFFER CREDITS OR REFUNDS IF I CANNOT ATTEND?

All registrations are final, however, in the event of illness or injury, credit will be decided upon on a case by case basis. Please see Refund/Credit Policy for more information.

CAN I VIDEOTAPE AND TAKE PHOTOS AT THE EVENT?

Photography and Videography at Artists Simply Human are STRICTLY PROHIBITED! Photos and Videos will be available for purchase at the Photo/Video booth throughout the event.

WHAT FACULTY MEMBERS ARE TEACHING IN MY CITY?

We guarantee a minimum of five faculty members per city, and in many cities the full faculty will be in attendance.  A welcome packet will be sent via email one week prior to the event announcing the faculty for your city.

CAN I RECEIVE A LIST OF THE MUSIC USED IN CLASS?

Yes, visit the city page on the ASH website following the event for a list of music used in all classes.

WHAT IS A STUDIO REPRESENTATIVE?

A studio owner, teacher, or other individual representing a studio who will NOT participate in ANY dance classes. Studio representatives must accompany participating dancers in order to attend. This representative may observe and take notes in any class. A studio representative may also attend the teacher brunch.

WHAT TYPES OF CLASSES ARE OFFERED AT ASH?

At Artists Simply Human, dancers will have the opportunity to study Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Leaps & Turns, Improv, Contemporary Ballet, Heels, Men’s Class, Modern Jazz & Jazz Funk with the most sought after faculty in the industry.  The exact styles offered in each city may vary due to faculty availability.

WHAT ARE THE MINI MOVERS AND ARTISTS IN TRAINING LEVELS?

The Mini Movers level is designed as an introduction to the dance convention experience and encompasses dancers ages four to six years old.  The Artists in Training level is designed for dancers ages seven to ten years old, who are dancing at the beginner/intermediate level, and are in the early stages of their dance convention training.

IF I RECEIVE A REGIONAL SCHOLARSHIP AND AM UNABLE TO ATTEND, CAN MY SCHOLARSHIP BE USED FOR NATIONALS?

Regional scholarships are only valid for the regional tour cities. Scholarships are not transferable, and cannot be extended. NO EXCEPTIONS!

SINCE I REGISTERED BEFORE THE EARLY BIRD DEADLINE, WHY IS MY HALF SCHOLARSHIP AT THE EARLY BIRD RATE $142.50 INSTEAD OF $122.50?

The ASH Half Scholarship discount is based on the regular workshop rate of $285, as discounts cannot be combined.

WHAT IS THE CLOSING SHOW?

Every Artists Simply Human event concludes with the Closing Show. The Closing Show includes performances featuring the Faculty, Professional Assistants, ASH Assistants, and scholarship finalists performing their audition combinations, and scholarship announcements.

DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PERFORMANCE SHOWCASE?

Attendees are not required to participate in the Performance Showcase, however, if you choose to participate in the Performance Showcase you must be registered for the full workshop.
